How Radiant Energy Could Enter the Cabin

If an intense external heat source had been present, several ordinary physical mechanisms could have warmed the interior without requiring the cabin air itself to have been heated instantly.

The large windscreen would admit visible light and portions of the infrared spectrum depending on wavelength. Why Investigators Could Not Verify the Claim

Unlike medical symptoms that were documented after the encounter, the condition of the passenger compartment was never examined immediately after the event.

By the time investigators inspected the vehicle, the cabin had long since returned to normal temperature. The only potentially related physical observation discussed in later investigations was the reported hand-shaped impression in the dashboard.
